FPV SOUTH YORKSHIRE RULES AND GUIDELINES
We’re a friendly club, and we’re all about having fun whilst flying, but please read through these rules to make sure we stay safe and keep the field owner happy.
Flying Rules
- Never power up/plug in whilst people are in the air EXCEPT if you have got agreement from everyone currently in the air. If by plugging in you cause any interference, you must unplug straight away.
- Always take off and land back on the provided landing mat.
- Never walk out into the field if people are in the air EXCEPT if you have got agreement from everyone currently in the air.
- Make sure your VTX power is set to 25mw.
- Make sure you’re using a pre-arranged available video channel.
- Keep within the perimeter of our field when flying.
- If you’re sharing a video channel with someone, talk to them and alternate batteries unless agreed otherwise between yourselves, eg. Your channel partner is fixing their quad/taking a break.
- If you’re told to land for whatever reason, please do so quickly and safely.
- Make sure that you’re following the correct direction of any track that may be set up. Ask someone that is flying for a track walk if you are unsure of the track.
- We ask that all models flown that have FPV installed display a valid Operator ID, as issued by the CAA.
Site Rules
- Keep your driving speed to 5mph when driving around the site.
- Do not drive on the grass unless advised it is okay to do so.
- Please take any rubbish home with you. This includes broken propellers.
- Respect the fact that our field is next to a campsite.
Miscellaneous
- It’s very much appreciated if you can help out where possible with the set up and tear down of the track and equipment. “Many hands make light work!” 😊
- If someone’s quad has gone down and they are struggling to find it, please give them some help.
